SibJazzFest-2019 presents: issues of the development of jazz music in the modern world will be discussed by leading jazzmen at a round table.
A number of events will be held within the framework of the International Jazz Festival, which will expand the boundaries of the project, including charity events, a thematic photo exhibition and an educational program in addition to concert events in its orbit. An important event for all fans of jazz will also be theoretical understanding of the current situation in the development of this musical direction.
The international jazz festival SibJazzFest-2019 will be opened in Novosibirsk on the stage of Arnold Kats State Concert Hall on May the 21st, 2019. The festival programs will be held at the main concert venue of the Philharmonic almost every day until May the 28th. The artistic director of SibJazzFest-2019 - Honored Artist of Russia, artistic director and conductor of Novosibirsk Philharmonic Big Band - Vladimir Tolkachev built the festival schedule in the tradition of authoritative European jazz forums: each part of the concert is dedicated to a performance by one musician or group. At the end of the concert, a jam session of all the participants of the festival day will be held as a separate program.

One of the important areas of the International Jazz Festival SibJazzFest-2019 will be an educational program: master classes from leading jazz performers Ken Peplowski, clarinet, saxophone (USA), Vladimir Chekasin, saxophone (Lithuania), Leonid Chizhik, piano (Germany).
On May the 8th Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Thomas Sanderling goes on tour to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The previous tours in England took place in 1995, when Arnold Kats conducted Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra.
The International Jazz Festival will give the Novosibirsk public the opportunity to attend real jazz sessions.
