The symphony orchestra has its own hall… Maestro Kats dreamed about it all his life. Now such hall exists in Novosibirsk and it is placed by the old address – Spartak-str., 11.

On 25 December at 14.00 the State concert hall named after A.M. Kats was acoustically tested. Musicians, builders, as well as Russian and foreign specialists realized this acoustic project attended this event. Nobody called it a concert but Novosibirsk symphony orchestra under direction of Gintaras Rinkevicius, Russian academic orchestra conducted by Vladimir Gusev and Rustem Dilmoukhametov, soloists Ekaterina Marzoeva (mezzo-soprano) and Sergey Kuzmin (tenor) were historically first who performed on the stage of the new hall!

Acoustic test proved that the characteristics of the hall correspond to necessary requirements. The Governor Vassily Yurchenko thanked all those who contributed to the construction of the State Concert Hall named after A.M. Kats.

The Hall will open its doors to the audience in the new concert season in September 2013.
