Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra performs at the IV Russian Symphonic Forum in Ekaterinburg

On 1st of October Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Gintaras Rinkevicius performs in the Great Hall of Sverdlovsk Philharmonic in the framework of the IV Russian Symphony Forum. The concert will be broadcast on the websites of Sverdlovsk and Moscow Philharmonics. Russian Symphonic Forum gathers in Yekaterinburg leading collectives of the country every two years.

On 1st of October Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by its artistic director and chief conductor Gintaras Rinkevicius will perform in the program of the IV Russian Symphonic Forum Shostakovich’s Symphony №8 and symphonic fantasy "Francesca da Rimini" by Tchaikovsky.

"Symphonic Forum, which for the fourth time will be held in Yekaterinburg, is considered a landmark and an important cultural project in the life of Russian symphony orchestras. Uniting musicians from all over the country, Forum solves important problems – it allows to exchange experience with colleagues and expand the boundaries of our creative interaction - said Lev Krokushansky, Advisor to the General Director of Novosibirsk Philharmonic Society on the development of the Philharmonic Orchestra, Honored Artist of Russia. - Ural Philharmonic Orchestra, which is celebrating its 80th anniversary, is known to Novosibirsk listeners by the program of the Second Trans-Siberian Art Festival, and now Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra for the first time in the framework of Symphonic Forum will perform for the audience of Yekaterinburg".

 From September 30th to October 7th 2016 in the concert program of the Forum together with Ural Academic Philharmonic Orchestra five Russian collectives will perform, paying tribute to the appreciation and respect for the main orchestra of the Ural region, which celebrates its 80th anniversary during the Forum days. Forum opening date is not accidental, on 29th and 30th of September 1936 then yet Symphony Orchestra of Sverdlovsk Philharmonic gave its first concerts.

Traditionally, the opening and closing concerts of the Forum belong to Ural Philharmonic Orchestra (artistic director and chief conductor is Dmitry Liss, conductor is guest of the Forum Frank Berman, Germany). Since 2012, one more member of the Forum is the second Philharmonic orchestra of Yekaterinburg - Ural Youth Symphony Orchestra conducted by Enkhe.

Russian regions at the Forum program are presented, on the one hand by "master orchestra" - Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Gintaras Rinkevicius, on the other by "orchestra-beginner": The Forum will be a kind of all-Russian presentation of Tyumen Symphony Orchestra (artistic director and chief conductor is Yevgeny Shestakov).

Also in the program of the Forum the following collectives will perform: the State Symphony Capella of Russia conducted by Valery Polyansky, Choir and Orchestra of the State Academic Capella of St. Petersburg (artistic director of Capella is Vladislav Chernushenko, chief conductor of the orchestra is Alexander Chernushenko).

The program of the IV Russian Symphonic Forum will includes a kind of trilogy of works by Shostakovich: on September 30th, October 1st and 2nd, Ural Philharmonic Orchestra, Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra and Tyumen Symphony Orchestra will perform Fifteenth, Eighth and Ninth Symphonies of the composer, what will become a significant event of Russian musical life: live broadcast of the concert will be held not only on the Sverdlovsk Philharmonic web-site (section "The virtual concert hall» www.sgaf.ru/vkz), but also on the website of Moscow Philharmonic (www.meloman.ru), and on portal Kultura.rf (www.kultura.rf).
