Vladimir Kaluzhsky celebrated his jubilee
On 25 May Vladimir Kaluzhsky, the artistic director of Novosibirsk State Philharmonics, celebrated his 75th anniversary.
He had been congratulated from all corners of the world – from colleagues, students and fans. On 26 May Vladimir Kaluzhsky was given diplomas from the name of the acting as governor of Novosibirsk region Vladimir Gorodetsky and the mayor of Novosibirsk Anatoly Lokot.
There was a greeting from Andrey Ustinov, the chief editor of the national newspaper “Musical review” – one of the most authoritative publishing in professional sphere. “You are one of the most experienced, elite leaders of music life, you are a part of the special cohort of leaders of philharmonic movement in our country, – the greeting letter says, — Thanks to this titanic work you do, Novosibirsk Philharmonics has been in the avant-guard of concert life of Russia for many years, it possesses a great creative potential and successfully implements it in its activity”.
Vladimir Kaluzhsky has been the art director of Novosibirsk state Philharmonics since 1995. Along with his main activity Kaluzhsky is the founder and art director of “Children-youth philharmonics”, author and announcer of many programs, art director of the chamber orchestra.
The range of his activity is incredibly wide: critic, librettist, script writer, public man, editor of collection of scientific articles, author of monographs, books for youth, television and radio broadcastings, concert announcer, founder of the children’s theatre “Music world”, member of the Union of Composers of Russia, member of the Union of theatre workers of Russia, Chairman of the Siberian department of the Union of composers of Russia.
