On 7th of February Novosibirsk Philharmonic hosted a seminar for young art managers within the framework of cultural and educational project TONALi-Tour-Trans-Siberian. The project is included in the program of the Fourth Vadim Repin’s Trans-Siberian Art Festival and will end on 1st of April in the concert "Children for Children" in Arnold Kats State Concert Hall.

On 7th of February Chamber Hall of Philharmonic hosted a seminar for pupils-participants of cultural and educational project TONALi-Tour-Trans-Siberian, organized jointly with the German national competition TONALi. TONALi curator in Russia Sergei Novikov told about the project to high school pupils of the Educational Center "Gornostay," Lyceum № 22 and Engineering lyceum of Novosibirsk State Technical University.

“This year we will offer pupils from non-musical schools to study at first hand all the components of creating a concert of classical music - said artistic director of the Trans-Siberian Art Festival Vadim Repin at a press conference. - We have seen how successfully the project was implemented in St. Petersburg on the initiative of Valery Gergiev, and if all goes well here, we will do TONALi-Tour-Trans-Siberian permanent”.

The project is count on pupils of 9-11 grades of secondary schools and offers students a unique opportunity to plunge into the backstage world of a classical concert, its organization and conducting, with the aim of awakening a sincere interest in classical music, which is performed by their young artists and international stars. The mechanism is the following - three schools are selected, and experienced instructor will acquaint their pupils with all the details of organizational work - from the stage preparation, advertising campaign to accompanying the evening-concert featuring young artists and international stars.

Under the leadership of the school supervisor and instructor, pupils will become promoters – they will design the concert and will be engaged in its promotion, attracting their friends, family, classmates and acquaintances to attend the concert "Children are children" on 1st of April.

The day before the concert, on 31st of March, each school will be attended by young, but already well-known performers Mayumi Kanagawa (violin, Germany), Friedrich Thiele (cello, Germany), Hanni Liang (piano, Germany) to meet "their" organizers, play a small concert and communicate in a close atmosphere.

On 1st of April these musicians will come on the stage of Arnold Kats State Concert Hall in the program “Children to Children”. The school, which will sell the most tickets for the concert, will receive a prize.

“Our task is to interest young listeners with concerts of classical music and bring them to the organization of such concerts in practice - at the school - said TONALi curator in Russia Sergey Novikov. - After our meeting the pupils came up with clear objectives and motivation for action. I think for the guys the most difficult and interesting at the same time would be to organize their activities and to plunge into a new sphere”.

TONALi is innovative cultural and educational project, which includes competition, the academy and the festival. Thanks to the unique integrated program of support of the musicians under the motto "Young to young" talented performers of classical music each year captivate about 40,000 children and adolescents in Germany as well as abroad (in Russia, Italy, Switzerland, Greece, China and the United States). Cooperating with leading theaters, festivals, and educational institutions around the world, TONALi established itself as a "generator of the public." The unique experience of the active involvement of young listenership is borrowed by Mariinsky Theatre of St. Petersburg, the cooperation with which started in 2013. So, in 2015, along with the subscription "Music Hour" with winners of the contest TONALi, held in the halls of the theater, there appeared a new joint educational project "Sounds of break".
