Novosibirsk Philharmonic Society celebrated its 80th anniversary

On April 17th a solemn event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Novosibirsk Philharmonic was held at Arnold Kats State Concert Hall. At the ceremony veterans and todays workers of the Philharmonic Society were honored.

“This solemn meeting is the culmination of the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of Novosibirsk Philharmonic. We have completed a special concert cycle dedicated to this date, and a concert opening of the Fourth Trans-Siberian Art Festival was devoted to it", says Vladimir Kaluzhsky, artistic director of Novosibirsk Philharmonic. - The release of the second volume of the book "The History of the Novosibirsk Philharmonic in Materials and Documents" by Sergey Kravtsov also timed to the 80th anniversary of the Philharmonic and it tells about the events of our life between 1986 and 2000. This time for our history is very important, because it was then when many collectives were created that are now known and loved by listeners”.

"On the scale of the era 80 years is a small step towards a great future. We now have big plans for the development of the Novosibirsk Philharmonic's roadmap until 2020", says Beibit Mukhamedin, Director General of Novosibirsk Philharmonic. - Our long-term goal is the positioning of the philharmonic society in remote areas of Novosibirsk region. By the end of 2017 we will present five new festivals at regional venues".

 A film for the anniversary of the Philharmonic, shot by the OTC television channel, was shown at the solemn event, and the awarding ceremony to the staff of the Philharmonic took place.

Welcome speech was made by the Governor of Novosibirsk Region Vladimir Gorodetsky, who noted that the philharmonic society and its creative life are the main adornment of the city and the region. 27 employees were awarded with Certificates of Honor and Letters of Thanks of the Governor of Novosibirsk Region, among them there are Yulia Rubina, concertmaster of Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra; Sergei Gershenovich, artistic director of the jazz orchestra "Siberian Dixieland"; Olga Gurina, artistic director of the Folklore ensemble "Rozhdestvo"; artistic director of Novosibirsk Choir Chapel Igor Yudin, artistic director of Vocal Ensemble Pavel Sharomov, artistic director of the string quartet “Filarmonica” Valery Karchagin, Advisor to the General Director for the Development of the Academic Symphony Orchestra Lev Krokushansky.

For long-term fruitful work, contribution to the development of culture and music and to the 80th anniversary of the Novosibirsk State Philharmonic Society the collective of Novosibirsk Philharmonic was awarded "The gratitude letter of the Plenipotentiary of the President of the Russian Federation in the Siberian Federal District”. A letter on behalf of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Siberian Federal District was presented by the federal inspector for the Novosibirsk Region of the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Siberian Federal District Ilya Chernyshov.

The Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Novosibirsk Region Andrei Shimkiv congratulated Novosibirsk Philharmonic Society on its anniversary and presented awards to 22 employees. The highest award of the Legislative Assembly - the medal "Public Recognition" was presented to the artistic director of the ensemble "Markell's Voices" Igor Tyuvaev. With the Certificates of Honor of the Legislative Assembly was noted the artistic director of Early Music Ensemble “Insula Magica” Arkady Burkhanov and other artists of the philharmonic society. Letters of Thanks of the Legislative Assembly were presented to the artistic director of the Philharmonic Vladimir Kaluzhsky, artistic director of the Concert Brass Band Mark Abramov, artistic director of the Orchestra of Russian Folk Instruments Vladimir Gusev.

Mayor of the city of Novosibirsk Anatoly Lokot noted with Certificates of Honor of Novosibirsk City Hall 36 employees, among them there is the editor of Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra Tatiana Shindina. Chairman of the Council of Deputies of the city of Novosibirsk Dmitry Asantsev presented awards to 15 Philharmonic employees, including Artistic Director of Variety Orchestra Viktor Ivanov.

At the end of the solemn event the Minister of Culture of Novosibirsk Region Igor Reshetnikov presented the Ministry's awards to 50 employees of Novosibirsk Philharmonic, including the artistic director of the brass ensemble Siberian Brass Nikolai Sizikov.

Numerous partners of the organization and representatives of cultural institutions of Novosibirsk came to congratulate the philharmonic society.
