Novosibirsk Philharmonic’s Duo Resonance performed in Spain at 45th Festival of performers at stringed and plucked instruments Plectro de La Rioja
The 45th Festival of performers at stringed and plucked instruments Plectro de La Rioja was held from 22 to 28 August in Logroño (Spain). Participants of Novosibirsk Philharmonic’s Duo Resonance Yana Povolskikh (guitar) and Natalia Kravets (mandolin) became the invited guests of the festival, they performed two solo concerts, and met with the students of the Conservatory of Logroño.
The Festival of performers at stringed and plucked instruments Plectro de La Rioja has a rich history and brings together artists from different countries. This year, the festival gathered on stage the musicians from France, Spain, Italy, Colombia, the US and Russia
“Foreign colleagues have invited our duet to this festival, and it turned up that we were the only collective from Russia, - says the duo musician Natalia Kravets. - All collectives are pre-viewing by videos, and up to the results the festival organizers invite selected collectives. Our concerts were very successful, with full halls and standing ovations. A meeting with the students of the local conservatory, where I told about my instrument and sang a solo piece, was also very interesting”.
On 23rd August Duo Resonance performed in the concert hall of Logroño Centro Cultural Ibercaja, and on 26th August – in the city of Aleson, in the Catholic church Iglesia de San Martin. The concert program included Russian music and adapted dances of the people of the world processing.
The Duo Resonance, including Yana Povolskikh (guitar) and Natalia Kravets (mandolin, domra), is the youngest collective of the Philharmonic. Unusual for Siberia consist of duo is considered to be a classic example of chamber music in European countries. During its short nearly 6-year history the duo has won a series of international competitions. The ensemble has won various international competitions in St. Petersburg, Osaka (Japan), Italian cities Modena, Ale and Favre.
