Key events of the 6th Trans-Siberian Art Festival were announced at a press conference at ITAR TASS Novosibirsk

On March the 12th a press conference was held at ITAR TASS Novosibirsk with the participation of the Minister of Culture of Novosibirsk Region Igor Reshetnikov, the Director General of Novosibirsk Philharmonic Bebit Mukhamedin and the coordinator of the educational program of the Trans-Siberian Art Festival in Novosibirsk Anastasia Medvedko. The speakers announced key events of the upcoming Festival.

Igor Reshetnikov noted the scale of the upcoming programs, which will be held both at the concert venues of Novosibirsk Philharmonic and in the regional concert halls. This year, famous artists will be hosted in Iskitim, Koltsovo, Krasnoobsk and Maslyanino. In addition to concerts where Vadim Repin, Daniel Lozakovich (violin, Denmark), Polina Osetinskaya (piano, Russia) will take part, trans-Siberian TONALi Tour participants will perform in the region: violinist Arthur Rusanovsky, cellist Ivan Scanavi and pianist Daniel Golod.

The TONALi Tour project is a cultural and educational project of the Trans-Siberian Art festival. It is designed for students of grades 9-11 of secondary schools and provides students with a unique opportunity to express themselves in the field of art management. High school students who take part in the project are engaged in organizing a concert, from choosing a program together with musicians to attracting viewers.

Three educational perspectives at once within the Trans-Siberian Art Festival will be covered at the venues of House of Culture “Energia”. Anastasia Medvedko reported that from March the 20th to April the 14th after submitting the application and registering, everyone can take part in the “Simply communicate with a Star” master classes, a piano master course with Dmitry Bashkirov and the II Art Journalism Academy. The latter will be devoted to such topical issues today as transmedia, media art, multimedia journalism, art journalism, the blogosphere, media criticism, digital cultural practices.

In his speech, Beibit Mukhamedin noted that each concert within the framework of the music program of the 6th Trans-Siberian Art Festival is distinguished by a stellar cast and a special artistic program. At the same time, he focused on the bright projects of the Festival: “Silk Road” with the participation of Harbin Symphony Orchestra conducted by Muhai Tang, a concert performance of R. Wagner’s opera “Tannhäuser” conducted by Dmitry Jurovsky, a concert “In memory of Arnold Kats” with the participation of Tugan Sokhiev and Vadim Repin, as well as the performance of the "Poem of Ecstasy" by A. Scriabin with the participation of Yan Pascal Tortelier and Denis Kozhukhin.

The opening of the VI Trans-Siberian Art Festival will take place on March the 21st in Arnold Kats State Concert Hall.

On top
