Dutch Stars of the Festival «Classics» will give an unplanned concert in Berdsk

On December 7 and 8 the best young Dutch orchestra «Sinfonia Rotterdam» and bandoneonist Carel Kraayenhof will perform in the frames of the International Festival «Classics» in Novosibirsk. Unexpectedly for the organizers the musicians decided to give one more performance right on the day of arrival – on December 6.
The chamber orchestra “Sinfonia Rotterdam”, conductor Conrad van Alphen and bandoneonist Carel Kraayenhof will arrive at Novosibirsk early in the morning on Decembre 6.
«These musicians are so active that they suddenly told their wish to perform an unplanned concert right on the day of arrival. They wanted to study a concert stage in the region — Aliona Bolkvadze, deputy director of Novosibirsk Philharmonic Society for International Affairs said, — We were afraid to bring the orchestra far into the region, so as soon as possible a concert in Berdsk was organized on the stage of PC «Rodina.» These musicians travel a lot, so such an extreme schedule for them is no more than a working moment.»
"This concert is a great event for the citizens of Berdsk — Oksana Gerasimchuk, head of the department of concert activity of Novosibirsk Philharmonic Society in Novosibirsk region said, — Performances in the region of foreign stars invited to philharmonic international festivals are rare and happy exceptions, and we are pleased that the initiative of making concert on December 6 came from the musicians of “Sinfonia Rotterdam”. Concert on the stage of the Palace of Culture «Rodina» will start on December 6 at 18 o’clock.
The orchestra «Sinfonia Rotterdam» and Carel Kraayenhof will also perform on 7 December at the Chamber Philharmonic Hall, and on 8 December — on the stage of the Palace of scientists of SB RAS. Concerts are included in the program of the International Festival «Classics», dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Novosibirsk Philharmonic.
Carel Kraayenhof is a student of Astor Piazzolla, he performs successfully not only tango. Thus, in his biography there were the experiments of cooperation with Sting, Ennio Morricone, Yo-Yo Ma.
The Chamber Orchestra «Sinfonia Rotterdam» is one of the youngest teams of the Netherlands. «They burst into the European music stage five years ago and they have earned a reputation as one of the most mobile and bright ensembles, — said Aliona Bolkvadze, — With the incredible competition between the symphony and chamber orchestras in Europe, this team reached a meaningful status, received state financing, they have their season ticket, regular concerts at the Concertgebouw — one of the best halls of the world. In addition, the concerts of «Sinfonia Rotterdam» are included in the official program of the Year of the Netherlands in Russia, which is scheduled for 2013. Our invitation in this sense passed ahead of the event.»
Nusic by Haydn, Mozart, Piazzolla will be performed by the orchestra “Sinfonia Rotterdam” and Carel Kraayenhof.
