Aleksey Igudesman will present the world premiere of the musical-choreographic program "Waltzes of the World" at Trans-Siberian Art Festival

Novosibirsk will hold the world premiere of the program "Waltzes of the World" on 22nd of April. Author's project of violinist and composer Aleksey Igudesman including performance of Philharmonic Orchestra, Choir and choreography, will take place in the framework of Vadim Repin’s Trans-Siberian Art Festival.

On 22nd of April in the Arnold Kats State Concert Hall the author program of Aleksey Igudesman "Waltzes of the world" will be performed for the first time.

"Aleksey Igudesman is the only member of Trans-Siberian Art Festival, which will take part in the project for the second time, - says Vadim Repin, artistic director of the festival, - We have decided to renew the idea of a concert-skit, which was brilliantly represented by Aleksey Igudesman at the first festival in year 2014. Many people asked me to do another show in this genre. Alex especially for the festival makes the new program, which is not performed anywhere else, it will be the world premiere”.

Key participants of the festival - its artistic director, Vadim Repin and Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as contemporary dance performer and choreographer Manaho Shimokawa, the Chamber Choir of the Novosibirsk Philharmonic, Novosibirsk virtuoso performer on the domra Andrei Kugaevsky will take part in the program "Waltzes of the World". The project is specially prepared for the Trans-Siberian Art Festival. The program will be performed for the second time on April 27th in Krasnoyarsk, also under the auspices of the festival.

At the first Trans-Siberian Art Festival Aleksey Igudesman presented the program "Skripkomaniya", during which the Philharmonic Orchestra played slapsticks and sang, solo violinists danced a jig, and Andrei Kugaevsky played domra with a bow - like a violin.

The organizers of the Festival are Novosibirsk State Philharmonic Society and Vadim Repin’s Fund. The project is supported by the Governor and the Government of Novosibirsk Region. The sponsor of the festival is Expobank, the partner of the festival is Dmitry Tereshkov. Project Vadim Repin & Greta Garbo in “Love” is being implemented with the support of Goethe Institute in Novosibirsk.
