Russian history and folklore took on life in the music of composers of the XXth century: actor Dmitry Nazarov performed with Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra
On November 24 and 25 the music of Russian composers of the XXth-century Rodion Shchedrin, Alfred Schnittke and Sergei Prokofiev, was performed on the stage of the House of Scientists of Academgorodok and in the State Concert Hall. Together with Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra (artistic director and chief conductor - Thomas Sanderling) and Novosibirsk choral chapel (art director and chief conductor - People's Artist of Russia Igor Yudin) performed the opera singers Polina Shamaeva (mezzo-soprano) and Sergey Plyusnin (baritone). Also, as a reader in the oratorio "Ivan the Terrible", the audience saw on the stage a famous actor of theater and cinema, People's Artist of Russia Dmitry Nazarov.

On November 20, Novosibirsk Philharmonic Chamber Hall hosted the awards distribution of Novosibirsk Professional Theater Competition – “Paradise”. A special prize "For outstanding contribution to the development of musical theater art in Novosibirsk" was awarded at the ceremony to the artistic director of Novosibirsk Philharmonic Society, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Vladimir Kaluzhsky.
