31 january
On 30 January Vadim Repin gave a press conference in Novosibirsk, where he presented the Trans-Siberian Art Festival. This project in which the world-famous violinist first appears in the role of artistic director will be held from 31 March to 12 April, 2014 on the stage of a new concert venue of Novosibirsk State Philharmonic Society – Arnold Kats State Concert Hall.

The 70th anniversary of a complete lifting of fascists siege over Leningrad was celebrated in Novosibirsk. The famous “Seventh”- “Leningrad” symphony of D. Schostakovitch was performed by Novosibirsk philharmonic orchestra in Arnold Kats State concert hall. Wreaths and flowers were placed by the Eternal fire. The owner of the highest of male opera voices-counter tenor Oleg Bezinskikh will perform in Novosibirsk on 24 and 25 January. A rare voice of the singer is wanted in the best concert halls of Russia and abroad.

On 24 January the works of the winners of composer’s contest Partita will be performed in the Musical salon of Novosibirsk Philharmonic Society. Performers: Lev Terskov (piano) and the ensemble Fresca musica: Danila Efremov (clarinet) and Ekaterina Predvechnova (piano).

On 23 January the Orchestra of Russian Folk Instruments will perform at the Philharmonic Chamber Hall the musical program that will be later presented at the Vth Festival of Russian culture RussenKo in France.
17 january
Vadim Repin gave a chamber concert for the metropolitan public in the residence of Russian Ambassador in Washington. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to the USA Sergey Kislyak introduced the musician to the audience, and Vadim Repin described the program of the upcoming festival.
15 january
On 13 January, by the decree of the Ministry of Culture of Novosibirsk region, Tatiana Lyudmilina, Honored Worker of Culture of Russia was appointed as the director of Novosibirsk State Philharmonic Society.
