Mark Abramov
Born in 1939 in Rostov-on-the-Don.
In 1964 graduated from the Leningrad state conservatory named after N.Rimsky-Korsakov (violin, with professor M.Belyakov).
Before entering the conservatory he has worked at the Department of musical ensembles and during his studies — at the Opera and ballet theatre named after S.Kirov (artist of the orchestra).
From 1964 he has worked at the Novosibirsk state academic opera and ballet theatre (artist of the orchestra, from 1967 concertmaster of the orchestra). At the same time, he has performed chamber music as a participant of a string quartet of the Novosibirsk conservatory.
In 1982 graduated from the Novosibirsk state conservatory named after M.Glinka (opera-symphony conducting, with professor A. Kats).
1980–1991 conductor of the Novosibirsk state academic opera and ballet theatre. Has conducted almost all current repertoires: Spartak by A.Khatchaturian, Traviata by G.Verdi, Swan lake by Tchaikovsky and others. As a conductor-director mounted Repetez by G.Gobernik, Marriage of Balzaminov by V.Gavrilin. His fruitful cooperation with theater often takes place nowadays (he conducts some performances).
He founded the Chamber orchestra and conducted it from 1988 to1991. Now this orchestra is one of the most popular groups pf the Novosibirsk philharmonic society.
Since 1991 has been working at the Novosibirsk academic symphony orchestra (artist of the orchestra, conductor), and since 1993 he has been leading the Concert Brass Band of the Novosibirsk Philharmonic Society.
He has performed with different orchestras in many cities of Russia: Barnaul, Tomsk, Kemerovo, Moscow, and in other countries: Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Italy.
