It is not a surprise that there is always a full house at the orchestra concerts in its native city. Because every program of the orchestra is an interesting and bright event, be it a solo concert of the orchestra or collaboration with guest soloists and conductors. The musicians solve musical tasks with an unconventional approach, demonstrating the highest level of performing culture.
Throughout its history, the orchestra has collaborated brilliantly with incredible musicians, including Nikolai Petrov, Paul Badura-Skoda, Boris Berezovsky, Vadim Repin, Pavel Milyukov, Alexander Knyazev, Alexander Ramm, Svetlana Zakharova, Ludwig Albert, Alexander Gindin, Giuliano Carmignola, Nigel Kennedy, Vasily Lanovoy, Boris Andrianov, Dmitry Illarionov, George Gao, Philip Chizhevsky, Mark Drobinsky, Alexander Rudin, Alexey Utkin, Claude Delangle, Michel Letiec, Polina Oserinskaya, Richard Galliano and many, many others.
The orchestra offers listeners unusual programs with the participation of musicians playing different exotic instruments, seeking ways to attract new listeners to concert halls, familiarizing young audience with the highest achievements of the world music culture.
The orchestra is the center of international musical connections of Novosibirsk Philharmonics. This collective often initiates various international projects of the city and the region.
Many world-renowned musicians from Russia and from abroad come to Novosibirsk with pleasure as well as work with the orchestra in its constant tours. In addition, the orchestra considers its duty to present new names of young and talented musicians in Novosibirsk.
The orchestra tours a lot and takes part in different festivals in Russia, Germany, France, Spain, The Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Serbia, China, and Azerbaijan.
The orchestra regularly releases new CDs, one of which – “Tongues of Fire” recoded under the baton of Rainer Held (Switzerland) was in top 20 of the best recordings of “Critics’ choice 2012” of the British magazine Gramophone.
Since 2022, the Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra has been touring in Russia with great success. The orchestra performs in the most famous venues and participates in prestigious festivals. “Zaryadye: Concert Hall, Great Hall of the Moscow State Conservatory named after Tchaikovsky, Tchaikovsky Concert Hall. The team became a favorite of the public in Ulan-Ude and Irkutsk.
In 2023, the orchestra captivated the audience in Kaliningrad and performed in St. Petersburg as part of the International Cultural Forum.
