Filarmonica-Quartet celebrated its 25th anniversary with the performance of classic and jazz.

On 23rd of September in the Philharmonic Chamber Hall Filarmonica-Quartet presented the program "Formula of Success", dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the collective. The concert program, along with classic, included jazz composition, created by the composer Igor Dmitriev specially to the anniversary of the quartet. At the concert musicians were awarded the rewards of Governor, Legislative Assembly of Novosibirsk Region and the mayor of the city Novosibirsk.

On 23^rd of September in the Philharmonic Chamber Hall the concert of Filarmonica-Quartet, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the collective, was held. In the program "Formula of Success" there were Quartet op. 13 by Mendelssohn and also jazz transcriptions by Igor Dmitriev, some of which were written especially for the concert. Igor Dmitriev Jazz Trio took part in their performing.

Igor Reshetnikov, Minister of Culture of the Novosibirsk region and Artem Skatov, deputy chairman of the Committee on Culture, Education, Science, Sports and Youth Policy of the Legislative Assembly of the Novosibirsk region addressed with the congratulation words to the musicians. Also, warm words were addressed to the quartet from their regular listeners.

During the festive evening Valery Karchagin, artistic director of the Filarmonica-Quartet, People's Artist of Russia, was awarded the Medal of the Legislative Assembly of the Novosibirsk region "Public Recognition", Oksana Anisimova received the Diploma of the Legislative Assembly of the Novosibirsk region. Artists of the Quartet Ilya Tarasenko and Stanislav Ovchinnikov were awarded Honorary Diploma of the City Hall of Novosibirsk. Quartet Manager Galina Bork was awarded the Diploma of the Governor of the Novosibirsk region.

“Filarmonica-quartet actively collaborates with contemporary composers who create compositions specifically for us, - says Valery Karchagin, artistic director of the Filarmonica-Quartet, People's Artist of Russia. - On the anniversary concert we presented ourselves in an unusual role, and performed the jazz music that was created for us by wonderful musician Igor Dmitriev. Our listeners haven’t seen us like that before.”

On 22^nd of September, on the eve of the anniversary concert, Filarmonica-Quartet held an open rehearsal, after which the collective answered questions from the audience about the first rehearsals and the gradual formation of the collective, about the musical preferences of the musicians, the history of the quartet renewal and professional dreams.

On 19^th and 21^st of August string quartet Filarmonica gave concerts in the framework of the festival "Crazy Piano" in Le Touquet. In the program of one of France's most prestigious festivals Novosibirsk musicians performed together with such Russian musicians as Boris Berezovsky, Alexander Knyazev, Andrew Korobeynikov, Alexander Vedernikov.

The quartet was created at the end of the 1980s on the initiative of Valery Karchagin, from the very beginning it consisted of musicians of the Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra. The official history of the collective starts from the year 1990 - from a successful performance at the Festival des Horens in Germany. The following year the collective won the All-Union competition of quartets.

Today Filarmonica-Quartet is one of the leading collectives of Novosibirsk Philharmonic, one of the most famous quartets in Russia, it regularly performs at prestigious Russian and foreign festivals.

In Novosibirsk Filarmonica-Quartet presents the subscription cycles on the stages of Philharmonic Chamber Hall and the House of Scientists in Akademgorodok. Also, the quartet initiated two cycles of concerts in which musicians are experimenting with genres and compositions. In the cycle series "Chamber nights: poetry of strings" concerts the music is on par with the artistic word by Marina Yakushevich. In a series "Consent of strings" musicians perform, combining with each other to the small ensembles.
