Laureate of International Competitions
Dmitry Karpov
(piano)

Dmitry Karpov was born in 1976 in Kemerovo.

In 1999 he has finished the piano course at Novosibirsk State Conservatory named after M.I. Glinka (the class of professor M.S. Lebenzone). In the years of his studies he brightly announced himself becoming a laureate of two competitions: the Contest of Siberia and the Far East (1990) and Novosibirsk State Conservatory Competition (1995).

Since 1999 he has been a soloist of Novosibirsk Philharmonic. Being an excellent accompanist he actively participates in various musical projects. As a soloist he repeatedly performed with ensembles, symphony and chamber orchestras, toured in Germany and China.

Dmitry has recorded three compact discs. He is the author of a number of transcriptions.

Since 2001 Dmitry Karpov has performed in the Piano duet Gennady Pystin - Dmitry Karpov.

Dmitry Karpov is the Diplomatist of the 1st International Pianists Competition named after Lothar Shevchenko (Novosibirsk, 2006); the laureate of the 1st International Competition named after Stanislav Neuhaus (Chelyabinsk, 2007, 3rd Prize); the laureate of the IV International Pianists Competition named after Scriabin (Moscow, 2008, 3rd Prize); the laureate of the II International Competition "Russian Season in Yekaterinburg" (2008, 2nd Prize); the diplomatist of the II International Pianists Competition named after Svyatoslav Richter, (Moscow, 2008); the laureate of the Philharmonic Prize "Golden Key" (2009); the Winner of the IV International contest "Libertango" (Barnaul, 2011, 1st prize); the laureate of the IV International Pianists Competition named after Vera Lothar-Shevchenko (Ekaterinburg, 2012, 3rd Prize).
